Ram Charan

Konidela Ram Charan Teja (born 27 March, 1985) is an Indian actor, film producer, and entrepreneur who works predominantly in Telugu cinema. The son of actor Chiranjeevi, Charan made his feature-film debut in Puri Jagannadh's action film *Chirutha* (2007), for which he received the Filmfare Award for Best Male Debut – South and the Nandi Special Jury Award. Charan gained recognition with his second film, S. S. Rajamouli's fantasy action epic *Magadheera* (2009). He portrayed the dual roles of the warrior Kala Bhairava and modern-day Harsha, the film became the highest-grossing Telugu film of its time and earned him his first Filmfare Award for Best Actor – Telugu and a Nandi Special Jury Award. He subsequently appeared in films including *Orange* (2010), *Racha* (2012), *Naayak* (2013), his Hindi debut in Apoorva Lakhia's *Zanjeer* / *Thoofan* (2013), *Yevadu* (2014), *Govindudu Andarivadele* (2014), and Surender Reddy's cop thriller *Dhruva* (2016). In 2018, Charan portrayed Chitti Babu, a hearing-impaired village mechanic, in Sukumar's rural drama *Rangasthalam* (2018), earning widespread critical acclaim and winning his second Filmfare Award for Best Actor – Telugu. He later portrayed revolutionary Alluri Sitarama Raju in S. S. Rajamouli's *RRR* (2022) alongside N. T. Rama Rao Jr., earning a nomination for Best Actor in an Action Movie at the Critics' Choice Super Awards. He starred alongside Chiranjeevi in Koratala Siva's *Acharya* (2022), headlined S. Shankar's political action drama *Game Changer* (2025) opposite Kiara Advani, and starred in Buchi Babu Sana's sports action drama *Peddi* (2026). In 2016, Charan founded the production company Konidela Production Company, which produced films including *Khaidi No. 150* (2017), the historical biopic *Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy* (2019), and *Godfather* (2022).
