Overview: “Make no mistake, the penalty for desertion is death!” Those words start one of the most extraordinary samurai era television series to ever come out of Japan. Created and developed by master filmmaker Gosha Hideo this is one of the first times that feature film quality hit the small screen. Megastar Amachi Shigeru is Gen, a former ninja with a price on his head traveling about Japan seeking the identity of the mysterious “Kagekubo” leader of his former group who issued the death warrant for desertion.
