Content: Bedlam involves an imaginary meeting between two literary characters, Bertha Mason from Charlotte Bronte’s Jane Eyre and Antoinette Cosway from Jean Rhys’ Wide Sargasso Sea. In Bedlam, Bertha and Antoinette are confined and policed in a place where their experiences have been reduced to types of illness easily disposable in the field of curing.
