Content: The film portrays two homosexuals from Bundesplatz over a period of 23 years: Reimar Lenz, the non-conformist intellectual and Hans Ingebrand, a painting masseur. The two men have lived together for many years, are politically active and both experienced discrimination in their youth that still affects them today. They embrace their "otherness" and register a same-sex partnership for life at the registry office in Schmargendorf.
