Content: The Gelsenkirchen coal mine housing estate Flöz Dickebank became famous in the 1970s due to the residents' resistance to the planned clear-cut redevelopment. In 1974, the Gelsenkirchen city council and the owner of the workers' housing estate founded in 1868 (Rheinisch-Westfälische Wohnstätten AG) decided to demolish Flöz Dickebank.
