Content: Martha is locked up in a mental hospital by her own husband, who covets her fortune. At some point, however, with the help of her husband's brother, who studied medicine abroad, she escapes and returns home to see her daughter. This creates friction and coldness between the two brothers, resulting in the doctor who showed her genuine affection packing his bags and leaving Greece.
