Content: Iris is a meditation on the death of a family member. Here Cho deploys the camera as metaphor, likening the opening of the camera's iris and its saturation with light to a form of video tears. The resulting piece depicts a stark, white landscape of mourning. The soundtrack uses soft, whispering, dreamlike voices and a musical droning to quietly convey a sense of personal loss.
