Content: Coffee growers on the Spanish-Portuguese border worked amid corruption and misery on the borderline. It was an extremely difficult period. In the midst of the Spanish post-war period, they traveled along Europe's oldest border on the banks of the Guadiana River. In 2017, this border celebrates its 750th anniversary. The testimonies of those old backpackers between Encinasola (Spain) and Barrancos (Portugal) tell a story of hunger in the midst of two dictatorships, those of Franco and Salazar.
