Content: They are young and full of zest for life when they meet by chance in Hamburg in the fall of 1990: Tom signs on to a container ship the next morning, Katja has to return to her class. They only have this one night, but in it they experience all the happiness and sorrow of love. They promise each other to meet again on New Year's Eve 1999, the last day of the old millennium.
