(Newsreel One - The Build-Up)

Content: The first in a series of newsreels made by a local co-operative production group about the recently revived schemes of the Department of Transport to build a motorway alongside Archway Road in North London, despite local opposition over the past fifteen years and three public inquiries. Composed of interviews in local pubs, meetings etc., footage of the area affected and found footage. In three parts, subtitled "Your home town?", "Road to nowhere (dead end)" and "Who wants it? Who needs it?".
