Content: In the backlands of Bahia, at the end of the 19th century, hundreds of families went to the Santo de Belo Monte settlement in Canudos, drawn by the promises of Antônio Conselheiro. The film addresses the War of Canudos, when soldiers and generals joined forces to destroy the city he founded.
