Content: A group of experts from the United Kingdom and Egypt have spent five years trying to save the step pyramid of Saqqara, a prototype of the rest of the Egyptian pyramids. This pyramid, the oldest in Egypt, is 30 km away. south of Cairo, in Sakkara. Built 4,600 years ago by the architect Imhotep for Pharaoh Djoser, it is considered to be the prototype for all Egyptian pyramids.
