Content: A fantasy that anthropomorphizes the stray cats living on Kitagijima, a remote island off the coast of Okayama, much like Yumiko Oshima’s classic manga "Wata no Kunihoshi". The film depicts young girls conversing in “cat language” (with subtitles), occasionally interacting with humans, as they live freely and spontaneously yet still struggle desperately to survive.
