Content: In a narrow railway carriage people travel across the vast country. Outside its windows, villages, towns, cemeteries, forests and factories drift by. Inside, passengers drink tea, sleep and engage in endless conversations. The camera moves from one open-berth compartment to another, gradually turning the journey into a strange voyage with no obvious destination. Where does this route begin and end? Who is driving the train? And where is it going at all?
