Content: In his sixtieth year, Brian Blessed makes a final attempt to climb Mount Everest. If he succeeds he'd be the oldest climber to do so. However, 1996 turns out to be the worst climbing season, claiming 11 lives over four weeks. The programme follows his attempts through treacherous weather, as he tries to fulfil a long-time dream of reaching the summit.
