(The Ne'er to Return Road)

Content: A mother is waiting for her boy, not knowing that he is dead. An escaped convict falls exhausted at her door, and she gives him food and drink while the story is told, in flashback, of how he committed his crime. An unfaithful wife, a bar room, a dude and self-defense; these were the elements that made him a convict. The mother learns that it was her boy that he killed. Although the mother helps him to escape, the prison officials capture him.
