Overview: The young knight d'Artagnan did not inherit much from his father: a yellow nag and a letter of recommendation to his father's friend. On his way from Gascony to Paris, the knight loses this letter in a brawl. But d'Artagnan quickly wins the friendship of the three inseparable musketeers Athos, Aramis, and Porthos—and the love of the beautiful Constance, who is kidnapped by agents on behalf of the Cardinal.
