Overview: Inspector Vasco Benassi is known in Bologna as the “best cop,” but after making a mistake, he is sent to the Apennines, to the small village of Muntagò, the hometown he had left years earlier following a traumatic loss. Investigating various cases will help him reconnect with his roots, in a process of “reopening his heart” that will lead him to become less solitary, to form new relationships, and to deepen others from the past.
